One of the nice things about being in the 3D printing field, is that there is an endless supply of ways to make gifts for people. Our latest video offering does just that. I explore how to use any image you see on the Internet, and convert that into a 3D model for printing. This works very well for more simpler shapes where you can get the outline/silhouette more easily. If you want to make a full 3D representation of a person from an image, however, that is the topic for a future video post 🙂
This technique works well on letters, shapes, and basically anything where the silhouette can be easily defined. Again, I use all FREE software to accomplish this, and so check out the video and see for yourself!
